Current and Expected Value Assessment of the Waterfront Urban Design: A Case Study of the Comprehensive Urban Design of Beijing’s Waterfront

Beijing, capital of China, and its exuberant waterfront is supposed to be a significant component the city’s charm. However, due urbanization population growth, Beijing’s experiencing variety issues, needing comprehensive urban design overall value assessment. The main purposes this study are develop an layer system assess current expected waterfront. was divided into four subsystems: ecological subsystem, spatial demand cultural subsystem. This includes 26 rivers 9 lakes, which 54 segments by roads. assessed values in Beijing with citizen questionnaires, expert field surveys.
